Helen was called to Faith Community Nursing in 2007. She practiced at an Anglican church in Hamilton and was part of the Board of the NZFCNA before relocating to Australia where she was on the Board of the Australian Faith Community Nurses Association. On her return to NZ she again joined the board of the NZFCNA and was chairperson from 2016 to 2019.
After a one-year break, Helen returned to the Board in 2020. She is very interested in the international aspect of Faith Community Nursing, and in 2018, was privileged to attend the Westberg Symposium, the international faith community nurses conference in Memphis Tennessee.
Helen practices as a FCN in her local church, having organised expos for seniors and men’s health events for the local community. She also supports individuals as needs arise.
